BKED. Terms of Service

By placing an order with BKED., you agree to the following terms and conditions.


1. Orders & Payment

A non-refundable deposit is required to secure your booking date.

  • Orders over $300 require a 50% deposit within seven (7) days of invoice issue
  • Orders under $300 require a 50% deposit within three (3) days of invoice issue

Your booking is not confirmed until the deposit has been received.

Final payment is due fourteen (14) days prior to the event date.

For orders placed within fourteen (14) days of the event, full payment is required upfront.

Failure to complete payment within the required timeframe may result in cancellation of your order.


2. Cancellations

If you need to cancel your booking, please notify BKED. as soon as possible.

  • All payments made are non-refundable
  • Cancellations within fourteen (14) days of the event date will result in the full order value being forfeited

3. Changes to Orders

Any changes to flavour or design must be made at least fourteen (14) days prior to your event date and may incur additional charges.

All changes must be submitted in writing to hello@bked.com.au

Date changes are subject to availability and are not guaranteed.

While every effort is made to fulfil your order exactly as requested, BKED. reserves the right to make minor design adjustments where necessary due to factors outside of our control (including supplier availability).


4. Creative Control

BKED. retains full creative control over all custom designs.

We welcome inspiration; however, we do not directly replicate another artist’s work.

Each cake and cupcake is handcrafted, and slight variations in colour, finish, and design may occur. These variations are part of the bespoke nature of your order and are not considered defects.


5. Collection & Transportation

Pickup Location: Rochedale, QLD 4123
The full address will be provided upon order confirmation.

Collection is available Saturday and Sunday mornings between 7:00am – 9:00am strictly.

Once your order leaves our premises, BKED. is not responsible for any damage caused during transportation.

Customers are responsible for transporting cakes safely:

  • Place the cake on a flat, stable surface (such as the passenger footwell)
  • Keep the cake level at all times
  • Use air conditioning (foot setting recommended) to maintain a cool environment

6. Weather & Buttercream Cakes (South East Queensland Conditions)

Due to the warm and often humid climate of South East Queensland, buttercream cakes are sensitive to environmental conditions.

  • Buttercream may soften, sweat, or melt in heat and humidity
  • Cakes should be kept in an air-conditioned environment wherever possible
  • Outdoor setups, extended display times, or non-climate-controlled venues increase the risk of damage
  • Buttercream cakes should be kept in the refrigerator and removed a 1-2 hours prior to serving so that they may return to room temperature for best enjoyment. 

BKED. is not responsible for any damage caused by environmental conditions once the cake has been collected or delivered.


7. Allergies & Food Safety

All BKED. products are made in a kitchen that handles common allergens, including but not limited to:

  • Gluten
  • Dairy
  • Eggs
  • Nuts

While care is taken, we cannot guarantee an allergen-free environment.

It is the client’s responsibility to inform guests of any potential allergen risks.


8. Florals & Decorative Elements

Where fresh or dried florals are used:

  • Florals are prepared and handled with care
  • However, they are not food-grade products and may pose a contamination risk

While precautions are taken to minimise contact, BKED. cannot guarantee that florals are completely food-safe.


9. Photography & Social Media

BKED. reserves the right to photograph and/or film any cake or order for promotional purposes, including use across our website, social media platforms, and marketing materials, without compensation.

If you prefer for your cake not to be featured, this must be requested at the time of booking.

BKED. will not share or publish any imagery or footage of clients, guests, or children without prior written consent.


10. Acceptance of Terms

By confirming your order and making payment, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms of Service.
